Terling
The Pool is solely run by volunteers and is funded by donations, membership fees and fund raising events and has done so since it's opening in 1965. It also provides swimming lessons to the Children of Terling Primary School and the Brownies and gives the community of a rural area a meeting place, providing excercise to both young and old and teaching people life saving skills. We currently need to reroof the Ladies changing area as the rain is now coming in. This project will cost in the region of £2,300, therefore £1,000 will ease the burden of the cost s and would be greatly appreciated by all who use the pool and for the future inhabitants of the village and surrounding villages. Our aim is to keep the community together, work with each other and be there for each other. Alll our volunteers work very hard to do this.

Terling is a wonderful village, but very rural and isolated. This is a fabulous project in this area.
It is essential life skills such as swimming are taught in this rural area which is so close to the sea and many rivers.
I voted for Terling Swimming Club as it is local to me and a very close friend grew up and learnt to swim there. I have used the pool facilities as a guest and there is a real sense of community and pride.
