The Autism Rights Group Highland is a group run by autistic adults, for autistic adults. The group aims to improve the lives of autistic people and to change people’s preconceptions of them.

They hold meetings for members, produce a newsletter, campaign for improved services and challenge discrimination against autism. Working as a collective, they aim to make the adult autistic voice heard.

Kerry Brook, Chairperson of the Autism Rights Group Highland explains:
"We are delighted the Autism Rights Group Highland has been awarded a Kerrygold Community Award. We feel that coming together as a collective makes many individual voices stronger; by working together one person’s weaknesses are overcome by another's strengths.”

With the help of the Kerrygold Community Awards cash prize, The Autism Rights Group Highland hope to launch an awareness campaign that will benefit all autistic people in Highland and ensure that the group has the funding it needs in order to continue.

Kerry goes on to explain:
“The money from Kerrygold will ensure our group’s future for the next year and beyond.”
