Our Scout hut is over 50 years old and in urgent need of repairs. We are trying desperately to raise funds so that the Boys and Girls from 6 to 18 years of age ; then hopefuly young leaders can benefit from the hut. We have applied for numerous grants localy but it is early days yet as we have had limited responce so far. We are desperately organizing fund rasing activities to bring in some cash to go towards the refurbishment. We need a new heating system and toilets so it is a complete re-fit. The hut is in the heart of the comminuity and we have just celebrated our fifty years as a scout group.

I voted for this project as although I now live in Suffolk, I lived in Old Stratford, a neighbouring village to Deanshanger, for many years and my children went to school in Deanshanger.
Any project involving the scouting or guide movement is worthwhile and should be supported.
Im involved with Explorer Scouts and will always try and help other groups who need help and assistance. The Scout Hut is the centre of a local community for kids and adults and definitely a worthwhile project.
Too often youngsters who try to do something useful, healthy and mind stretching are not given the support hey deserve. As a former Guide I support this project

I am a committee member for this scout group. The scout hut is in real need of some TLC. Every member of the group and committee are trying to help as much as possible to raise funds. please vote for us :)
Working towards The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a dream of the majority of Scouts and Guides..support is essential to help youngster aim for their dream.
scouts and guides offer good training for young people.
I think that this project will benefit a large number of children now and in the future...

i have 2 grandsons in the cubs and scouts in blackfords cannock and they have to do a lot of fundraising to get some funds together for activaties .
