Group of children from a council estate work on a small raised bed community garden. They grow vegetables which are then used to do a cooking lesson, we also try and make it educational seasons, weather, wildlife, healthy eating etc and we try to make it as much fun for the children as we can. The children are very keen and want to learn new things all the time, and it also encourages them to try vegetables that normally they would just say "I dont like that!" We also enter our district councils gardening competition and last year won first prize and a lovely trophy. We also involve the parents of the children who have also gone on to this year having a go at growing vegetables in their own gardens.
